A quick glance at adult oral health -



Your smile and overall health depend on a few easy dental care habits. Early detection and treatment of problems with your gums, teeth and mouth can help ensure a lifetime of good oral health. Consider these brushing basics below:


  • Brush twice a day, every day

- don't rush, take 2 minutes

- consider using an electric toothbrush

  • Drink fluoridated water

  • Use toothpaste with flouride

  • Practice good oral hygiene:

- change your tooth brush regularly

- brush your tongue

- use mouth wash daily

- practice a good brushing technique, do not brush too aggressively

- brush with circular short back-and-forth motions

- brush the outside, inside and chewing surfaces of your teeth

  • Limit/do not use tobacco products

  • Limit alcoholic drinks.

  • Limit soda intake

  • Visit your dentist at least twice per year for your routine cleaning appointments
